François Paulette has devoted more than 25 years of his life to resolving a battle that is more than a century old. Senior negotiator for the Smith's Landing First Nation, Paulette is determined to see the Canadian government honour promises made to the Thebatthi (Chipewyan) people in an 1899 treaty. Shot in northern Alberta and Ottawa, Honour of the Crown is a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the turbulent final years of this fight. Plunged into seemingly endless negotiations, Paulette and his brother, Chief Jerry Paulette, struggle to reclaim nine tracts of land and $33 million in compensation. Featuring interviews with tribal, provincial and federal government representatives, this documentary provides a rare glimpse into one community's success in settling a one-hundred-year-old treaty obligation of the Crown.

Uranium explores the consequences of uranium mining in Canada. Because of toxic and radioactive waste, there are profound, long-term environmental hazards associated with uranium mining. For miners who work at the sites, there is the substantially increased risk of getting cancer. And, because most of the mining to date has been on Indigneous People's land, uranium mining violates their traditional economic and spiritual lives. Given our limited knowledge of the risks associated with uranium mining, this film questions the validity of its continuation.

This documentary records the passing of a tradition of the Shotah Dene of the Northwest Territories. For many generations, the Shotah Dene built mooseskin boats each spring, from dried hides and sinew, to carry their families and cargo down the mountain rivers to trading settlements such as Fort Norman. Gabe Etchinelle returns to the mountains of his youth to build one last mooseskin boat, now preserved in a museum in Yellowknife, a tribute to an earlier way of life.
